A little more about me...
My passion for Pilates began in 2018. On a mission to find a form of movement that elevated me mentally, strengthened my core, and felt nourishing, not punishing, on both my body and mind, I quickly fell in love with Pilates when it ticked every box.

After years of believing in the “no pain, no gain” mindset, it wasn’t until my late 30s that I began to question how happy that was actually making me. I realised the exercise I was yearning for was gentle yet strengthening, enjoyable (and therefore sustainable!) whilst still giving me real results. I soon found Pilates fulfilled my fresh mindshift and goals beautifully.

PILATES AS SELF CARE
During lockdown, I leaned into my practice online as a form of self-care and structure to my days, whilst home schooling and working from home, and quickly began to notice how much brighter, calmer and energised I felt on the days I mindfully moved. It was a joy to notice how Pilates enhanced my mood and lowered my stress levels and, overall, served as a powerful reminder of how closely connected our movement, nervous system and hormones are.
FROM PASSION TO PRATICE
Finding myself at a career crossroads during lockdown, I decided to take my passion from hobby to profession and took the plunge into Pilates teacher training. Once qualified I began teaching weekly alfresco classes in my local park and hired the lovely cosy Loft Room studio room in The Cornerstone, Hove (where I still teach most of my classes).
What started with friends and family soon grew into a gorgeous, welcoming community, with new lovely faces finding their way to the mat each week.

I now find nothing more rewarding than hearing how Pilates is supporting my clients — whether that is easing chronic pain, improving their mobility and balance, feeling stronger and more confident in their bodies, experiencing fewer PMT or menopausal symptoms, or comfortably lifting their children or grandchildren. I consider being a part of these empowering changes the ultimate privilege.

MY PILATES PHILOSOPHY
I would describe my teaching style as visual, gentle and nurturing and I will always ensure I start with the simplest version of an exercise and offer layers if you'd like to feel further challenged on that particular day.

I am passionate about keeping my classes fresh and fun and love using small equipment such as small balls, magic circles and flex bands to keep things varied and spicy! I also teach weekly Pilates with Weights classes, perfect if you are stretched for time and would like a workout which adds an extra level of challenge to build strength.

Whether you’re rolling out your mat for the first time or are already well travelled on your Pilates journey, I’d absolutely love to help support and guide you towards your personal goals.
With love
Suze xx
